Code of Conduct

The Cordovan Group works consciously with business ethics. Our relationship with our clients and co-workers is of great importance to us and to our success. Our success is completely built on the success of our clients.

For our clients
Integrity and long-sightedness are characteristic features of our working methods and we always put our clients first – our culture relies on the will to help our clients succeed.
We wish to develop our clients success and long-term relationships are the basis of our ambition. Sensitivity and cooperation are characteristic features of our internal and external relations and we wish to develop our client’s success in tandem with our own.

For our co-workers
We follow laws and regulations and should nothing be stated in laws and regulations, we follow what is considered to be good ethics. No co-worker is allowed to take or give bribes; gifts and services may only be taken within the frame of what is professional custom and in accordance with the guidelines of the Institute Against Bribes.

We shall deliver in accordance with our agreements with our clients.
All co-workers are to be treated with the same respect and get the same possibilities for development and career advancement. No one shall be discriminated because of religion, age, race, sexual orientation, political views or ethnic background. Harassment is not allowed and will be fought forcefully.
Our leaders must be good role models and practice what they preach.
In case of a conflict of interests, the interest of the customer is always to be put first.

In the case of service abroad, we also apply “Recommended code of conduct for Swedish staff in international assignments”, established by the Network for Ethic Rules and Codes of Conduct 15 January 2004.

Our relation with society
We respect human rights according to the European Conventions and other conventions that are generally acknowledged.

We work against discrimination and we disagree with any kind of abuse of human beings.

We respect international as well as national laws, including sanctions and embargos.

We respect nature.

We disagree with all illegal and unsound imitation of competition.

We disagree with bribing and money laundering, even in situations where this is not illegal and even though it means that we miss out on a deal.

Implementation and follow-up
All co-workers and under consultants, especially managers, have a great responsibility to observe the codes of conduct; every year we inspect and follow up to make sure that we observe the codes of conduct. Since a code of conduct cannot be complete, we also work on improving and clarifying it after each implemented year of activity.
