Equality policy

Gender equality policy
This gender equality policy has been established by the board
and provides guidelines for the equality of work within
the Cordovan Group AB.

Organization and positions
Work is mainly carried out in project groups where each project manager within the subsidiary has a delegated responsibility for their projects. The organization is therefore extremely flat, with minimum central administration.

Division of men and women
The distribution of men and women in the Cordovan Group is 1/3 women and 2/3 men (as of december 2007), a statistic we are actively working to even out.

Comparison in wages
No wage comparison between the genders can be carried out since the tasks between individuals vary so greatly.
The work conditions in the group are suitable for both men and women and no conditions regarding gender are taken into consideration.

Unifying work and parenting
Cordovan Group AB and its subsidiaries make it easy for both men and women to unify work and parenthood. This is attainable by allowing co-workers to use flexible time and – as far as is possible – give them the opportunity to work part-time in addition to what is stated by law.

Clear undertaking
•All should be appraised equally at a time of new recruitment. The most qualified should be chosen without any consideration to gender, race, religion or other factors alike.
• All shall have the same possibilities for growth in competence. Within all branches, and at all levels.
• All shall have the same ability to combine work with family.
• All should be aware that harassment of any kind, including sexual, will not be accepted.

How this is achieved:
• At the time of recruitment should two people have similar merits, it is possible that the person with the most under-represented gender in the group shall be offered the position.
• Create the possibility of flexible work hours for all employees.
• Investigate the possibilities for distance working for certain groups.
• We will offer part-time workers more work-hours.
• Make it easier for both men and women at all levels to use their parental leave.
• Create a plan of action on how to deal with sexual harassments and other harassment.

Management and responsibility
Equality in the workplace is of course an essential part of the Cordovan Group and its subsidiaries.  Each co-worker has a personal responsibility to work with equality in mind.

Regular discussions take place regarding the development of efforts to further embrace equality. Each respective subsidiary company’s CEO (and in some cases the head of the group) is responsible for making sure these discussions take place and that the right efforts are made to ensure the co-worker will evolve and enjoy their work environment.
